Thames Beachcombing

Discover the hidden side of London with a beachcombing excursion along the River Thames. When the tide goes out, the river reveals the capital's longest archaeological site, offering the opportunity to look for historical objects along the foreshore.

During the activity, you will have about an hour and a half to explore the foreshore and twenty minutes to identify and date the items found. Digging is not allowed, only picking up items from the surface. Gloves and bags are provided.

The total duration is 2 hours. You must wear Wellington boots or hiking boots. The activity is not wheelchair accessible and is weather-dependent. The meeting point is outside Tower Hill Tube Station.
