Mondoñedo Cathedral: entry + audio guide

Visit the Cathedral of Mondoñedo, a building that stands out for its facade, which combines various architectural styles, reflecting the numerous interventions that have taken place over the centuries. The interior features three naves separated by large arches, with the central one highlighted by a 13th-century rose window made of stained glass.

Inside, the presbytery houses a Rococo altarpiece by Francisco Terán, illustrating key theological themes. The sacristy, dating back to the early 16th century, features a late Gothic design with detailed wooden drawers and copper paintings based on Old Testament scenes from the workshop of Rubens. There is also an alabaster sculpture of the Immaculate Conception.
